The Cat

Written by Kate Lunsford

The cat sat in a tree. The cat fell out of the tree. But the cat hung on tight, and pulled itself up. The cat fell again. The cat fell on a pillow. The pillow had horses and cowgirls on the pillow. The owner of the cat saw what happened both times, and he went out to see if his cat was okay. His daughter had lost that pillow the cat had found that pillow for the daughter. The daughter was the real owner. But the dad of the daughter went out just in case, and then the daughter came out and the cat was okay. The daughters name was Mary. Mary had a brother who was six years old. Mary was seven years old. Mary had a cat and Mary’s brother had a dog. Some people call her Mar for short. And almost everyone saw it in her neighbor hood because everyone lived in a big circle and they could see in anyones house if they wanted to. And everyone came to see if the cat was okay for they all loved the cat. The dog ran and ran and ran and fell. And everyone came over again and everyone came out to see if it was okay, the whole family of Mary of course. Mary got hungry. So Mary went in the pantry. Mary was old enough that she could cook herself some soup. She got her favorite kind of soup out and cooked it. She put salt in it before she ate. That made it a lot more better. After she was done eating she went and played with her toys. She had Indians, and cowboys, and lots of indian stuff and about two guns. One was a rifle and one was a pistol. Mary had a happy life. Her father had a happy life. In case you didn’t know Mary had a mom. Her mom had a happy life. Her brother had a happy life. The dog had a happy life, and the cat had a happy life.
